Giving back to the community: Arts scholarships for disadvantaged kids
At VAPA, we know not everyone has the means or opportunity to participate in the arts. For that reason, we are thrilled to be giving back to the Hoi An community by offering arts scholarships to give disadvantaged kids the tools needed to succeed at work and life.
In 2019, we introduced the Mischewski Award for Excellence in Dance as our first official act of giving. We also held our first annual Danceathon fundraiser, providing an opportunity for members of the community to contribute our sponsorship program for disadvantaged kids.
As result of their generosity, we have now raised more than 35,000,000 vnd, and have 3 arts scholarships on offer for 2020.
We believe that the arts are a vehicle for social change. Not only do we teach people the skills they need to create magic, we also provide them with the tools needed to use that magic ethically, sustainably and responsibly.
Hoi An is such an great place, and we are so excited to help it grow. Like and follow us on Facebook to stay on top of updates .
